  • Update: Three Architecture Students Have Work Displayed at Lubeznik Center for the Arts

    “Cash Your Vote” for your favorite design! In a unique partnership with the Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA), IIT College of Architecture students designed and built donation boxes that have been displayed at the center this summer as part of Paul Pettigrew's IIT Architecture & Furniture project to help raise funds for the center. The three projects that made the final cut for the exhibition were conceived by Adam Weissert, Marina Khakhayeva and Maria Savrasova.

    An app created by the Oyez Project of Chicago-Kent College of Law will be among six civic and government apps featured in the upcoming 2013 National Law-Related Education Conference. The Oyez Today app provides the latest information and media on the current Supreme Court, including searchable audio of oral arguments and transcripts.

    IIT College of Science Physics Professors Dan Kaplan and Jeff Terry to Deliver Speeches

    Dan Kaplan, professor of physics, is speaking this week at the XVth International Workshop on Neutrino Factories, Super Beams and Beta Beams (NuFact 2013) in Beijing, China. Jeff Terry, associate professor of physics and the Scientific Director of the Advanced Test Reactor National Scientific User Facility, will speak on “Small Modular Nuclear Reactors: Parametric Modeling of Integrated Reactor Vessel Manufacturing Within a Factory Environment” at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy on Thursday, August 29 at 1:00 pm.

  • Jeff Terry, Associate Professor of Physics, Named Scientific Director of the ATR NSUF at the Idaho National Laboratory

    Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has selected Illinois Institute of Technology Associate Professor of Physics Jeff Terry, as scientific director of the Advanced Test Reactor National Scientific User Facility (ATR NSUF). ATR NSUF is based at INL in Idaho Falls. It is a United States Department of Energy-Nuclear Energy user facility and is the nation's only designated nuclear energy user facility.

    IIT will upgrade Blackboard for the fall semester on Friday, August 16. The new version introduces global navigation and a dashboardcalled My Blackboard, which will centralize information from across your courses. There is also an improved calendar that will allow you to integrate your Blackboard calendar with iCal or Google.
