Illinois Tech Partners with Braven to Expand Career Readiness for Students
April 28, 2026We are excited to share that Illinois Tech is launching a new course in partnership with Braven this fall 2026, BRVN 200: Braven Career Success. This accelerator course is a 3-credit hybrid course designed to help students bridge the gap between college and career. The course is designed for second-year, third-year, and transfer students, and is a new requirement for students receiving Chicago Difference and Hope Scholarships. -

Lived Experience of Mental Disorders Student Panel
April 14, 2026Illinois Tech students are invited to attend a panel on the Lived Experience of Mental Disorders on Tuesday, April 28, at 6–7:30 p.m. at The Bog. Panelists will be asked to discuss their relationship to mental illness diagnosis, stigma, and recovery. Panelists and attendees will also be asked to measure their recovery attitudes and empathy before and after the event, and they can receive a Sona credit for their participation. -

Library Card Drive
April 14, 2026Galvin Library is partnering with the Chicago Public Library's Bee Branch to host a library card drive on Wednesday, April 22, from 2:30–4:30 p.m. To register for your free library card, come to the library's upper level, right by the stairs, and bring a state ID or driver's license with your current address and picture. If your current address does not match your ID, bring proof of your current address such as a bill or other piece of mail postmarked within 30 days.
