    If you are interested in learning more about the process of creating a well developed, well researched, and well written research paper, please attend this joint Galvin Library and Illinois Tech Writing Center workshop at 12:45–1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, on the lower level of the Galvin Library. We will go over the process of developing a plan, searching and analyzing good, reliable sources, as well as writing good thesis statements and outlines.

    SGA Student Research Committee Seeks Members

    The Illinois Tech Student Government Association is developing the Committee on Research Affairs, which has the mission to advance research done by Illinois Tech graduates and undergraduates while developing a research active, ready, and diverse student population. Currently, representatives across multiple disciplines are needed, as are various other positions relevant to the committee, such as web developers, journalists, and digital content creators.

    Humanities, Social Sciences, and Psychology Departments Offering Intensive 14-Day Winter Courses

    Winter term courses will be offered by the Humanities Department, Social Sciences Department, and the Psychology Department. There are two sessions, an early session from December 10–23, and a later session, from December 26–January 8. These courses are designed to cover all of the same material covered in a one-semester course but in 14 days—10 days of instruction and four reading days.
