Come to Women in STEAM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on March 27, 2024
February 29, 2024Join us to celebrate Women’s History Month as we work to improve Wikipedia entries for women notable for their work in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) fields. Wikipedia edit-a-thons are events where people come together to improve Wikipedia entries. No experience necessary! Librarians will provide resources and guidance. This event will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 3–5 p.m. in the upper level (second floor) of the Galvin Library. -

Department of Humanities Hosting 59th Annual Writing Contest
February 22, 2024The Department of Humanities is accepting submissions for its 59th annual writing contest. All spring full-time Illinois Tech undergraduate students (students who are currently taking at least 12 credit hours) are invited to submit original pieces of fiction, poetry, plays, and nonfiction. Winners will be announced on or after Wednesday, March 27, 2024, on the Lewis College of Science and Letters website. An in-person awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. -

February 8, 2024Join us for the Longest Paper Chain Challenge at 3:30–4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, to celebrate National Engineers Week. Work in teams on the second floor of Galvin Library to design and build the longest looped paper chain using just paper, tape, and scissors. Registration is required. -
