    WISER to Co-Sponsor 2012 UIC Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy

    IIT’s Wanger Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER) will serve as one of the co-sponsors of the 2012 Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE), to be hosted by University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on August 9 - 17. The SISE theme, “Election 2012: Energy, Economics, and Environment” will feature an intense interdisciplinary workshop for graduate and senior-level undergraduate students.

  • 4th Annual Big Event — Sign Up Today!

    The Big Event is the largest, one-day, student-run service project in which students, faculty and staff from Illinois Institute of Technology come together to show gratitude to our neighboring communities through a dedicated day in their service. For the past 28 years, universities across the nation have participated in this annual event to show their appreciation to the surrounding community by completing service projects such as yard work, window washing, and painting for community members. On April 21, 2012, IIT celebrates its fourth year sponsoring the Big Event.

  • “One Day On Earth” Global Screening at IIT on Earth Day

    One Day on Earth started in September of 2008 with the goal of creating a unique worldwide media event where thousands of participants would simultaneously film over a 24-hour period. Over 60 non-profit organizations participated and have collectively created over 3000 hours of video. The United Nations is a social partner of the project and this April 22 there will be a global screening of the 2012 version of film in more than 80 countries and more than 500 venues, including IIT.
