Keating Sports Center Spring Break Hours

March 15, 2013
Keating Sports Center will be closed all day on Saturday, March 16, Sunday, March 17, and Saturday, March 24. The building will be open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday, March 18 - Friday, March 22.

Illinois Tech 2012-13 Liberal Arts Conference Champions

The Illinois Tech men have become the 2012/2013 Liberal Arts Conference Champions! They won the meet, held February 13–16 at Coe College, with a final score of 702; the women's team placed 7th out of 12 with 141 points and only four female swimmers. Senior Eric Grunden had a phenomenal meet with first-place finishes in all of his individual events and placed on every relay. For this, he received the Men’s Swimmer of the Meet Award. Also recognized was diving coach Ryan Nelson, who was awarded the Men's Diving Coach of the Meet Award.

Diver Ian McNair Three-Time National Champion

March 14, 2013
The Scarlet Hawks sent 14 swimmers and one diver to Oklahoma City February 27–March 2 to compete in the 2013 NAIA National Championship Meet. The team broke four school records and won two national titles. Illinois Tech’s men’s team finished fifth out of 16 teams with 291 points while the Illinois Tech women's team finished 18th out of 19 teams.

Ian Mcnair Wins Men’s Three-Meter Diving Championship at NAIA Nationals

IIT Scarlet Hawk Ian Mcnair won the men's three-meter diving championship at the 2013 NAIA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships during the first day of competition on Wednesday.

KPL Indoor Cricket Tournament Registration Extended

February 27, 2013
Keating Premier League is an Intramurals and Recreation sports event sponsored by the Student Activities Fund and the Intramurals and Recreational Sports Committee at IIT. This event is an Indoor Tape Tennis-Ball Cricket Tournament played at Keating Sports Center running from March 2–April 13 (except during the break). The matches would be played on Wednesdays between 7:00–10:00 pm and on Saturdays between noon–6:00 pm.
