  • IIT Stuart Professors Weslynne Ashton and Nasrin Khalili Host International Partners for HED Grant

    IIT Stuart School of Business hosted the Pathways to Cleaner Production in the Americas annual meeting and workshop from August 5–9. Assistant Professor Weslynne Ashton and Associate Professor Nasrin Khalili welcomed international partners from six countries and nine partner organizations for a week of meetings, workshops, and activities around Chicago.

  • Jeff Terry, Associate Professor of Physics, Named Scientific Director of the ATR NSUF at the Idaho National Laboratory

    Idaho National Laboratory (INL) has selected Illinois Institute of Technology Associate Professor of Physics Jeff Terry, as scientific director of the Advanced Test Reactor National Scientific User Facility (ATR NSUF). ATR NSUF is based at INL in Idaho Falls. It is a United States Department of Energy-Nuclear Energy user facility and is the nation's only designated nuclear energy user facility.

  • Update: Fall 2013 Blackboard

    IIT will upgrade Blackboard for the fall semester on Friday, August 16. The new version introduces global navigation and a dashboardcalled My Blackboard, which will centralize information from across your courses. There is also an improved calendar that will allow you to integrate your Blackboard calendar with iCal or Google.

  • VanderCook Music Courses for IIT Students

    VanderCook Music Courses for IIT Students

    Each semester, VanderCook College of Music welcomes IIT students into its program. These students participate in music classes, play in ensembles, take private lessons and are a valued part of the student body. IIT students may take classes at VanderCook not only for enrichment but also to fulfill humanities electives or to even earn a music minor. Registration for IIT students interested in taking fall 2013 VanderCook classes opens on Monday, August 19 at 8:00 am. Registration ends Friday, September 6 at 3:00 pm.

  • Plan to Attend the 2013 Volunteer Service Fair

    Join the IIT community at the third annual Volunteer Service Fair! This event will be during Welcome Week, on Saturday, August 17, from noon–2:00 pm on the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Bridge. Chicago-area organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Chicago HOPE, Aquinas Literacy Center and many more will be on hand to recruit volunteers for their organizations. Each organization will have a table in the MTCC Bridge corridor. Speak with representatives and learn more about how to get involved in community service in Chicago, particularly in communities surrounding IIT. Giving back complements your academic or work experience in fulfilling and rewarding ways!

  • The Honorable Diane Wood

    The Honorable Diane P. Wood to Deliver Keynote at IIT Chicago-Kent’s U.S. Supreme Court IP Review

    The Honorable Diane P. Wood, a circuit judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, will deliver the keynote address at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law's fourth annual U.S. Supreme Court Intellectual Property Review (SCIPR) on Thursday, September 26. The one-day conference will be held at the law school. Wood will address the topic "Is It Time to Abolish the Federal Circuit's Exclusive Jurisdiction in Patent Cases?"

  • Summer 2013 IPRO Day a Success

    The culmination of the summer semester’s Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program was held on IPRO Day on July 26. Twelve teams exhibited and presented their semester-long work in the Hermann Hall Ballroom. Dedicated panels of workplace professionals, faculty and graduate students spent the day judging the IPRO projects, and voting on the best exhibits.
