July 11, 2024Illinois Institute of Technology will host a virtual and synchronous training seminar on Friday, August 23, designed to prepare researchers to partner with members of the community and submit for the 2025 Inspiring Change Training and Research Award ($10,000 for training and $30,000 direct costs for CeR pilot study). -

June 13, 2024Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) projects are defined by questions reflecting a focal health condition (e.g., diabetes, arthritis, asthma, or major depression) intersecting with a specific diverse community (e.g., ethnicity, faith-based community, or gender identity). The CBPR Training & Research Award (TRA) is to train and then provide resources for two Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) investigators. -

Founded in 1884, AOAC International is one of the most highly regarded international associations of analytical science professionals. -

June 6, 2024Dr. Brian Schaneberg, the executive director of the Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) at Illinois Tech, is participating in a World Food Safety Day seminar this week, focusing on dedicated food safety processes. The seminar is organized by IFSH member Reckitt, a multinational firm operating in 68 countries across six continents. -
Senior Government Officials Visit Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH)
May 23, 2024Jim Jones, deputy commissioner for human foods at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and Mike Cabonargi, health and human services regional director, recently visited the Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) in Bedford Park on May 9, 2024. Jones is leading and setting priorities for the proposed unified Human Foods Program (HFP), which will oversee food safety, chemical safety, innovative food products, and nutrition to improve public health. -

February 27, 2024We are carrying out a study titled "Factors Influencing Underrepresented Student’s Career Choice in Cybersecurity." For this study, we are conducting interviews with the Asian, Black, and Hispanic student population enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs at Illinois Tech with Cybersecurity as a declared major or minor to gain a richer understanding of motivations, challenges and opportunities of the underrepresented student population.
