    Michael J. Sandel Awarded 2023 Roy C. Palmer Prize for Book ‘Democracy’s Discontent,’ Will Give Lecture at Chicago-Kent Campus on Tuesday, April 2

    The 2023 Roy C. Palmer Prize on Democracy, Civil Liberties, and the Rule of Law has been awarded to Michael J. Sandel, the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government at Harvard University, for his book, Democracy’s Discontent: A New Edition for Our Perilous Times (Harvard University Press 2022). Professor Sandel will visit Chicago-Kent on Tuesday, April 2, to deliver the 2023 Roy C. Palmer lecture. The public lecture is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.

    ECE Research Seminar: ‘Adventures and Lessons in Wireless Systems Design,’ Featuring Dr. Kenneth Zdunek

    The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is delighted to announce that Dr. Kenneth Zdunek, a distinguished speaker renowned for his contributions to the analysis, research, and design of wireless networks and systems, will be joining us on Friday, April 5, 2024. The event will take place in Siegel Hall room 118 at 3 p.m. Dr. Zdunek, who obtained his Ph.D. in 1991, is widely recognized as both an inventor and a leader in the field. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer of Roberson and Associates, a technology and management consulting company that originated from Illinois Tech in 2008, he also holds the position of Research Professor in the ECE Department.
