The 2016 Chinese New Year Day is on Friday, February 8. Join Galvin Library to welcome and celebrate the year of the Monkey.

From February 1 through Monday, February 8, visit Galvin Library to explore Chinese culture. Find your favorite books about China and Chinese culture from the Chinese New Year Book Display at the circulation desk. The display includes fiction and nonfiction books about Chinese history, literature, politics and much more. When you check one book out from this collection, you can get a free jasmine tea cake.

You can also stop by to make yourself a cute monkey or monkey mask to celebrate the new year. The library will have cut and fold paper figures, coloring pages and colored pencils so you can get creative.
