Kemper Gallery Opening Reception

South Side Community Art Center is partnering with the Paul V. Galvin Library and the student group SmallRoom to present Women of a Certain Age, a collection of art made by women over the age of 65.

Women of a Certain Age
The archetype of the Crone has been passed down through the ages as representative of women of a certain age. We celebrate the Crone as a woman of wisdom, accomplishment, moral leadership, and power. We invite you to join us in viewing the vision and voices of contemporary Crones.

An opening reception will be held on from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, July 19. The exhibit is free and open to the public, and will be on display in the library’s Kemper Room until September 14.  Normal exhibit hours 9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Saturday.
