September 22, 2022The Leadership Academy is excited to announce our upcoming seminar, Why Not You?, which will take place Saturday, October 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the MTCC Ballroom. Pizza will be provided. You can attend this seminar in person or online via Zoom. NSF launches entrepreneurial fellowships for engineers and scientists
September 22, 2022The U.S. National Science Foundation announced a new $20 million investment in Entrepreneurial Fellowships through a multi-year cooperative agreement with Activate.org. The Activate Fellows supported by NSF will be scientists and engineers from a variety of backgrounds and regions across the U.S. who will translate research breakthroughs to new products and services with broad societal benefits. Over two years, Entrepreneurial Fellows will receive training and at least $350,000 in direct support, plus access to specialized research facilities and equipment through Activate. -

Midterm Course Evaluation Survey to Launch on Monday, September 26
September 20, 2022The Fall 2022 Midterm Course Evaluation Survey will open on Monday, September 26 and will remain open through Sunday, October 9. Instructors are asked to talk to their students about the survey and let them know that you value their feedback. Students can access the survey via a link in the email they will receive from the Center for Learning Innovation (CLI) or starting Monday, via a link found in the Tools area of Blackboard. Students are encouraged to take a few minutes to evaluate each of their courses. -

September 20, 2022Armour College of Engineering’s Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering will welcome Dr. Dongyang Li (D.Y. Li), Professor, Faculty of Engineering - Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta, to present a lecture, “Explore the application of electron work function as an indicative or “genetic” parameter for material design.” The seminar will take place on September 21 from 3:15–4:30 p.m., in John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center (RE) Room 104.
