Celebrate National Library Week April 14-20
April 15, 2013National Library Week is April 14–20 and this year’s theme is Communities Matter @ Your Library. Paul V. Galvin Library is an integral part of the IIT community and we want to celebrate National Library Week with you! Our Undergraduate Research Specialists will be on the MTCC bridge from 12:40–1:50 pm this Monday through Thursday to celebrate libraries and bring awareness to library resources. January 2, 2013IIT Paul V. Galvin Library is seeking additional undergraduates to work in the Undergraduate Research Specialists Program. Created in fall 2011, undergraduate research specialists help their peers find, evaluate and use library and online sources to improve their research papers, IPROs and other projects. Specialists are also responsible for working together or individually on projects that enhance or further undergraduate research at IIT. -

Study Week Hours Added at Galvin Library
October 22, 2012Paul V. Galvin Library will be offering a second week of 24-hour access on both levels to give you optimal access as you prepare for the end of the semester. Study Week starts on Sunday, November 25 when Galvin Library opens at noon and the library will remain open 24 hours on both levels all week. Study Week is followed immediately by the popular 24-hour Finals Week, which ends at 5:00 pm on Friday, December 7. That means you will have 293 hours or 13 straight days of 24-hour access to the entire space at Galvin Library! -

Reducing Printing at IIT
August 17, 2012Beginning this fall, free printing credits are being reduced to 250 per semester. The credits will continue to roll over between semesters until the end of the summer term when all accounts are wiped and reloaded with fresh print credits for the fall. Free print credits do not represent actual money, but if students need, they can add their own funds for additional printing.
