    International Bridge Building Contest this Saturday

    Students from high schools throughout the world will compete in the 2013 International Bridge Building Contest on IIT's main campus on Saturday, April 27 in Siegel Hall Auditorium. The contest, which promotes the study and application of fundamental principles physics, allows high school students to gain "hands-on" experience in what it is to be an engineer and challenges students to design, construct and test the most efficient model bridge within specifications.

  • 38th Annual Chicago Regional Bridge Building Contest at IIT

    February 14, 2013
    On Monday, February 25 the MMAE Department, Physics Department and the Office of Admissions will be sponsoring the 38th Annual Chicago Regional Bridge Building Contest. Created by IIT alumnus Roy Coleman, this event draws high school students from the entire Chicago metropolitan region to see who can build the most efficient bridge.
