    Professional Clothing Drive for Fall Career Fair

    Cleaning out your closet this summer and finding you have some dress clothes that could be donated? Don't know where the closest Salvation Army is located? No problem! Bring them to work and donate them to Office of Campus Life and Women's Services Professional Clothing Drive. You will help us aid IIT students dress for success in preparation for the fall semester Career Fair. Dress shirts, ties, blazers, suits and shoes that are still in good condition would be greatly appreciated.

  • Senior Week: Chicago Cubs Game

    Are you a graduating student who will be on campus over Senior Week? Enjoy a Cubs game at 7:05 pm on Tuesday, May 14. Come to the Office of Campus Life to get your ticket (supplies limited) for $5! Before we head to the game, we’ll also make a stop at Headquarters Beercade at 950 W. Wolfram in Chicago. This event is sponsored by the IIT Alumni Association and Campus Life.

  • Participate in the Clothesline Project

    Participate in the Clothesline Project

    The Clothesline Project honors women survivors as well as victims of intimate violence. Any woman who has experienced such violence, at any time in her life, is encouraged to come forward and design a shirt. Victim's families and friends are also invited to participate. For more information, please visit the Clothesline Project's website. Join Women’s Services and the Office of Campus Life during the week of April 22 if you would like to decorate a shirt for the clothesline. On April 29 from 10:00 am–4:00 pm, the clothesline will be hung in the Welcome Center for viewing. Individuals will also have another opportunity to decorate a shirt.

  • Freshman 15 Submissions for Fall 2013

    One of the components of the First Year Experience program is the Freshman 15. This program, which is a list of 15 campus programs/events, is geared toward helping our first-year students fully experience what it is to be an IIT student. The Office of Campus Life is currently taking submissions for events that departments, student organizations or other IIT-affiliated organizations will sponsor for the fall 2013 semester. Having your event listed as part of the Freshman 15 won’t require any extra work for your department but will provide you with another avenue to market to students. We are looking for a mix of social, educational and traditional events.

    Inclusive Language Focus Groups

    The Office of Campus Life is trying to make a BIG impact on campus and bring everyone closer together as a community. We're hoping that you will take part in this effort. Over the next couple of weeks, Campus Life will be holding one focus group each week to better understand what verbal language students at IIT use consistently and feel are inappropriate, and/or not inclusive of all genders/sex/ethnicities. We want to know what can be done to make language more inclusive for all students.

This is a day to actively show that as a woman or man, you are standing up against sexual assault and sexual violence, and are in support of those who have been victims to these terrible crimes. Whether your office wears business attire or casual dress, taking part in Denim Day will make a statement for all to see and hear!
