Take Precaution in Workspaces During Extreme Heat
August 27, 2013A special message from the IIT Office of Facilities and Public Safety: With extreme temperatures, the capacity of IIT's air-conditioning systems on campus has been pushed to the limit. There may be instances where interior space is not sufficiently cool. If your workspaces become too warm, please move to a cooler location, avoid strenuous work, take breaks, and drink water. This OSHA link provides further guidance for avoiding heat-related illness in the workplace.
