Parking Update and Reminders for Mies Campus

Effective November 1, Mobile Pay rates for visitor parking lots will now include all applicable parking taxes (City of Chicago, Cook County, and State of Illinois). You can view the new rates on the Visitor Parking page. Students, faculty, and staff may continue to obtain Flex Day Passes at the current rate through MyParking.

Parking Permission and Regulations Reminder for Faculty and Staff

February 13, 2025
To park a vehicle at Illinois Tech’s Mies Campus, current parking permission is required. Faculty and staff permission is initially registered via MyParking with renewals for annual and academic year permits. These permit types are payable via biweekly or monthly payroll deduction for staff and faculty respectively.

Summer Session Parking and UPass Information

May 14, 2024
Parking permits by summer session are available for purchase online via MyParking. Also, the UPass program is now available for summer participation at Illinois Tech. Summer UPasses will be valid through Sunday, August 4, 2024. Summer students must opt in by May 29, 2024.

Parking Impact for Federal Street Resurfacing: September 7 – 9

September 6, 2022
ComEd will conclude their ongoing electrical infrastructure work along Federal Street with pavement resurfacing. This work is scheduled to take place Wednesday, September 7 – Friday, September 9. Please note the affected areas and plan your commute accordingly.

Parking renewal permits have been issued to faculty and staff and are linked to the registered vehicle(s) for immediate use. Parking registration is ongoing for students, and faculty & staff who did not have a permit last year via MyParking. Permits purchased via MyParking will be linked to your registered vehicle(s) immediately. Parking permits will be strictly enforced beginning Tuesday, September 6.

Department Parking Codes for Visitors

Illinois Tech departments with a standing visitor parking code as of May 31, 2021 have been automatically extended through December 31, 2021. During Fall 2021, a mobile payment solution will be implemented, phasing out our legacy visitor paystations.

2021-2022 Faculty/Staff Parking Permits

August 3, 2021
Faculty and Staff that were enrolled in an employee parking plan with payroll deductions as of July 31 will receive an automatic permit renewal effective September 2021. To cancel your parking plan and future payroll deductions, please complete a Cancellation Form.
