IBM/SPSS Data Mining Workshop
April 2, 2013Marty Bariff will offer a hands-on tour of IBM/SPSS Modeler software for IIT faculty on Tuesday, April 9 from 12:45–1:30 pm in the AH218 Computer Lab. Take this test run to consider using the software in your courses or research. Applications include data quality, modeling for predictive analytics and pattern identification plus text analytics. The software is installed in almost all IIT computer labs from an IBM grant. -
IIT Stuart School of Business Professor Khairy Tourk will present, “The Middle East in Turmoil: A Political Economy,” at the Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy on April 28, which will be recorded for WBEZ Radio’s “Chicago Amplified.”

Alumnus Robert Borlick to Present WISER Seminar on Electricity Markets
September 17, 2012The lecture "Demand Response in Wholesale Power Markets" will be held on Friday, September 21 at 1:00 pm in IIT Tower, 16th floor. The joint lecture is co-hosted by WISER, the Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation, IIT Armour College of Engineering, and IIT Stuart School of Business and will feature energy consultant Robert L. Borlick (EE ′59). The lecture is also provided as part of IIT Homecoming activities.
