Health Waiver for New Incoming Spring Students Available Through January 12, 2026
December 18, 2025New incoming 2026 spring students who do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance with a start date of January 1, 2026, have until Monday, January 12, 2026, to opt out using the online waiver. -
Health Waiver to Opt Out of Student Health Insurance Plan Available Through August 15
June 3, 2025The 2025-2026 Student Health Waiver opened on June 6, 2025. Fall incoming students who do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance with a start date of August 1, have until Friday, August 15, 2025, to opt out using the online waiver. -

November 26, 2024Illinois Tech is committed to the health and welfare of students and requires all students who register for one academic credit hour or more to have health insurance. The spring Student Health Waiver opens on November 27, 2024. Spring incoming students who do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance have until Sunday, January 12, 2025, to opt out via an online waiver. -

Student Health Insurance Waiver Due by February 9
December 1, 2022All students registered for one credit hour of class will AUTOMATICALLY be added to the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and be charged to their Student Accounts unless they qualify under a different plan and fill out a health insurance waiver. The deadline to submit that waiver is February 9, 2023. -
