Professional Clothing Drive for Fall Career Fair
June 25, 2013Cleaning out your closet this summer and finding you have some dress clothes that could be donated? Don't know where the closest Salvation Army is located? No problem! Bring them to work and donate them to Office of Campus Life and Women's Services Professional Clothing Drive. You will help us aid IIT students dress for success in preparation for the fall semester Career Fair. Dress shirts, ties, blazers, suits and shoes that are still in good condition would be greatly appreciated. -
Participate in the Clothesline Project
April 22, 2013The Clothesline Project honors women survivors as well as victims of intimate violence. Any woman who has experienced such violence, at any time in her life, is encouraged to come forward and design a shirt. Victim's families and friends are also invited to participate. For more information, please visit the Clothesline Project's website. Join Women’s Services and the Office of Campus Life during the week of April 22 if you would like to decorate a shirt for the clothesline. On April 29 from 10:00 am–4:00 pm, the clothesline will be hung in the Welcome Center for viewing. Individuals will also have another opportunity to decorate a shirt. -
“$tart $mart” Salary Negotiation Workshop
April 4, 2013Don’t miss "$tart $mart," a free and interactive workshop sponsored by the Office of Campus Life designed to give college women the skills and confidence they need to earn fair compensation and help close the gender wage gap! "$tart $mart" gives participants benchmarks for salary and benefits, offers salary negotiating skill-building exercises and teaches participants how to develop a personal budget to determine salary needs. The workshop will be on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:00–8:00 pm in Perlstein Hall 109. -
Upcoming Self Defense Workshops
March 25, 2013Women's Services is sponsoring two additional Self-Defense Workshops this semester! Both courses are offered by IMPACT Chicago, and will focus on awareness and safe distance as well as verbal and physical self-defense tools. The workshops will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 9:00 pm in the MTCC Ballroom (co-sponsored with the Greek Council) and Thursday, April 4 at 6:30 pm in the MTCC Ballroom. -

Women’s History Month Planning Meeting
October 12, 2012While Women's History Month is not until March, it will be here before no time at all. Women's Services would like to begin planning Women's History Month now. The first planning meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at 2:00 pm in MTCC Room 516 (located near the post office.) Students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join us with suggestions and ideas.
