    For the second time in a row, the IIT Career Fair has reached maximum capacity with 167 employers offering more than 3500 jobs, and 54% of employers offering jobs to international students! The Spring Career Fair will take place from 12 - 4 pm on Thursday, February 21 in Hermann Hall.

    The B5 (Hermann Hall) parking lot will be reserved on Thursday, February 21 from 7:00 am–5:00 pm to facilitate the Spring Career Fair. Commuter student permit holders will have access to lots A4, A3, B2, B3 and C1. View the location of the lots on by clicking on the campus map. Please direct questions to parking@iit.edu.

  • Leading Philosopher and Historian Presents Sawyier Philosophy Lecture in Science, Technology, and Society

    Sandra Mitchell, professor and chair, History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh, will present the Sawyier Lecture, coordinated by the IIT Department of Humanities, on Friday, March 1, at 2:30 pm in the MTCC Ballroom. According to the 2011 Philosophical Gourmet Report, the Pittsburgh program is the top program in the world for the general philosophy of science, ahead of Cambridge, Carnegie-Mellon and Oxford universities.

  • IIT Chicago-Kent to Seek Third Consecutive National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition Championship

    Two teams from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law will represent the law school in defense of its 2011 and 2012 championships in the fourth annual National Cultural Heritage Law Moot Court Competition. The tournament, sponsored by DePaul University College of Law and the Lawyers' Committee for Cultural Heritage Preservation, will be held February 22 and 23 at the Everett McKinley Dirksen U.S. Courthouse in Chicago.

  • IIT Chicago-Kent to participate in the 25th annual National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition

    IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law students Martha Drouet, Brandon Holub and Philip Micha will represent the law school in the 25th annual National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. The tournament, sponsored by Pace Law School, will be held February 21 to 23 in White Plains, New York.

  • Muslim Journeys Film Screening: “Prince of Slaves”

    Students, staff and faculty are invited to view the film "Prince Among Slaves" which recounts the true story of an African Muslim prince who was captured and sold into slavery in the American South. After 40 years of enslavement, he regained his freedom, became a national celebrity and dined in the White House. This is an incredible story about an incredible man who endured the humiliation of slavery without losing his dignity or his hope for freedom. The film will be shown on Thursday, February 28 from 3:00-6:00 pm in the MTCC Auditorium.

    IIT Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering will host a seminar, "Assembly Line Biosynthesis of Polyketide Antibiotics," co-sponsored by the Pritzker Institute of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the Division of Chemistry, welcoming Stanford University Wells H. Rauser and Harold M. Petiprin Professor of Engineering Chaitan Khosla. Khosla's primary research interest focuses on the interface of chemistry and medicine.
