IRS Announces Business Mileage Rate Increase for 2024
January 9, 2024Beginning on January 1, 2024, the standard mileage rates for privately owned vehicles while on official Illinois Tech business will be 67 cents per mile. This rate applies to electric and hybrid-electric automobiles, as well as gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles. -
2024 University Holidays
January 4, 2024The 2024 University Holiday schedule is listed below, and can be found on the Paid Time Off and Holiday Closures page of the Human Resources Department's website. Please note that the 2024 Holiday break would normally have run from Wednesday, December 25, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1, 2025. However, President Echambadi has granted two additional University Holiday days immediately preceding Christmas Day as a thank you to staff for their hard work throughout the year. -
If Needed, Request to Merge or Record Courses Soon for Spring Semester
December 14, 2023If you want to merge two or more courses, fill out the Course Merge Request form as soon as possible. Also if not already scheduled for lecture capture/online course, we now have a request to complete if you’d like your course to be recorded by the in-room cameras: the Course Recording Request. As with the course merge request form, submitting it earlier is better and will help ensure your course is ready when classes begin January 8. -

Everyone on the BCBS medical plan will receive a new ID card for 2024 due to the implementation of the Health Advocacy Solutions program. Information on Year-End Payroll Dates, Holiday Shutdown and Time Recording
November 28, 2023The Payroll Office will be closed from Monday December 25, 2023, through Monday January 1, 2024. Payroll will reopen on Tuesday January 2, 2024. All employees paid on a monthly basis with direct deposit will have their accounts posted on Friday December 29, 2023. All employees paid on a biweekly basis will be paid for the period of December 10, 2023, through December 23, 2023, on Friday, December 29, 2023. -
