How to Conserve Energy Over Winter Break

Illinois Tech spends an average of $500,000 per month on energy. Winter break is an excellent opportunity to reduce that cost and conserve dollars that can be used for other needs. Please be sure to turn off lights and unplug electronic devices before you leave.

Benefit Reminders for 2024: Watch Out for Your New ID Cards

As we head into 2024, the Office of Human Resources has some important benefits-related reminders on what you can expect going into the new year. Everyone on the BCBS medical plan will receive a new ID card for 2024 due to the implementation of the Health Advocacy Solutions program. Also, everyone new to the medical plan will also receive a CVS Caremark ID

Information on Year-End Payroll Dates, Holiday Shutdown and Time Recording

November 28, 2023
The Payroll Office will be closed from Monday December 25, 2023, through Monday January 1, 2024. Payroll will reopen on Tuesday January 2, 2024. All employees paid on a monthly basis with direct deposit will have their accounts posted on Friday December 29, 2023. All employees paid on a biweekly basis will be paid for the period of December 10, 2023, through December 23, 2023, on Friday, December 29, 2023.

It’s Open Enrollment Until November 15

Illinois Tech’s annual open enrollment period for benefits will run from Wednesday, November 1, 2023, through Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Changes made during open enrollment become effective January 1, 2024. You are encouraged to attend one of the live in-person or online information sessions on November 1, 7, 8, or 13 to learn about benefit changes for 2024.

BCBS Fitness Program Enrollment Fee Waived in October

For members of Illinois Tech's employer sponsored health plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield, new, eligible members can sign up and save when they take advantage of the waived enrollment fee opportunity for the BCBS Fitness Program. The $19 enrollment fee will be waived for new, eligible members Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 2023.
