    NanoJapan Program for Undergraduates

    NanoJapan, sponsored by Rice University,will provide United States undergraduates with structured research opportunities in Japanese university laboratories with Japanese mentors focused on the study of THz dynamics of nanostructures. Eligible students from any university nationwide are eligible to apply. The program is well-suited to engineering or physics students with a keen interest in this area of nanotechnology research.     The Paul V. Galvin Library is committed to enriching and enhancing the educational experience for students; to that end, the staff is establishing a Student Advisory Board. We would like your input on policies, services, collections and spaces, and welcome volunteers to serve. The board will be composed of 8–12 undergraduate and graduate students from various disciplines who will meet a few times each semester to provide feedback and insight on library services, collections and spaces; help to identify trends in the student use of services and resources; participate in the development of surveys or focus groups; and assist in decision-making that will affect the student body.
