Students Sought to Become a Part of Campus Judicial Board
August 1, 2023The Office of Community Standards is looking for students to participate in the Campus Judicial Board. The Campus Judicial Board is comprised entirely of members of the Illinois Tech community. The board meets approximately once or twice a month to adjudicate student high level disciplinary cases regarding alleged violations of the Illinois Tech Code of Conduct and is advised by the Student Affairs Cares Team. -

July 25, 2023Illinois Tech undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. students who have done research during the last year are invited to present their work at the Illinois Tech Welcome Week Student Research Day/Poster Session on Friday, August 18, 2023. This Welcome Week event celebrates the excellent research being conducted at Illinois Tech, and introduces new students to our research community and opportunities to get involved themselves. -
Fall 2023 HawkCard ID and UPass Information — Submit Photo by July 31
July 18, 2023New students joining Illinois Tech for Fall 2023 should submit their HawkCard ID photo online by July 31, to ensure their HawkCard ID and UPass (Eligible Students & Optional) are ready for Welcome Week/Move-in beginning August 14. The semester UPass effective date will be August 14 as well. Effective Fall 2023, UPass eligibility has been extended to part-time students registered for 6 credits or more. Fall registration of at least 6 credit hours and the opt-in form must be completed to have a Ventra UPass card ordered (new students) or activated (returning students). -

This is a flexible daytime position (20 hours per week) that requires a successful applicant to be an excellent communicator, be very organized, and have management experience. -

Office of Residence Life Hiring New Community Desk Assistants
June 13, 2023The Office of Residence Life is hiring both Day and Overnight Community Desk Assistants (CDAs) for a variety of hours. The application process is open to students at Illinois Tech wanting to work day or overnight shifts in one-to-two-hour increments. This is an ongoing position from semester to semester, students hired as CDAs may work up to 20 hours a week while class is in session until their graduation from Illinois Tech. Students looking to work as Overnight CDAs must live on campus. The ability to work during Summer 2024 is a plus. More details can be found on Handshake. -
Students Who Don’t Want to Be Enrolled in Student Health Insurance Plan, Complete Health Waiver by September 1
June 13, 2023All students, including faculty and staff, registered for one credit hour of class is automatically added to the Student Health Insurance Plan and the fee will be added to your Student Account. If you do not wish to be enrolled and have comparable health insurance, please complete the electronic waiver online by September 1. -
New Student Orientation Program SOAR Continues This Summer
June 6, 2023It's time for Illinois Tech's new student orientation program—SOAR. Throughout the summer, the Office of Campus Life welcomes students and their families to our Mies Campus for an introduction to all things Illinois Tech. In addition, virtual sessions are hosted for both graduate and international students. In-person or online, SOAR is a fantastic opportunity for students to interact with campus partners, learn about available resources, and meet with their future classmates. Technology Access After Graduation
May 2, 2023The Office of Technology Services (OTS) has created an Alumni Technology Access webpage that explains which software and services will and will not be available to you after you graduate so that you can better plan for the future. Illinois Tech allows students to retain their university email account for life, but access to other services and applications may not be available after graduation or may be available for just 12 months post-graduation.
