Scarlet Hawk Weekly: Baseball, Tennis Busy in Florida

On Monday, the Illinois Tech men's tennis team took on Bethel to begin its spring trip in Orlando at the USTA National Center. The Scarlet Hawks (7-6) won the nighttime match over Bethel (7-4) by a score of 6-3.

The Illinois Tech men's volleyball team took a trip north to Wisconsin on Saturday for a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Contest against Marian. The Sabres (7-9, 5-3 NACC) defeated the Scarlet Hawks (2-13, 1-8 NACC) in straight sets.

The Illinois Tech men's tennis team drove out to Michigan on Saturday to take on the Knights of Calvin College in the afternoon. Tech (6-6) was victorious, downing the Knights (5-2) 5-4.

The Illinois Tech men's tennis team hit the road on Friday for a match at Augustana College in the quad cities. The Scarlet Hawks (5-6) were downed by the Vikings (9-3) by a score of 7-2.

Men’s Volleyball Falls to Loras Friday

The Illinois Tech men's volleyball team dropped their match in three sets to Loras College at the Keating Sports Center on Friday night. The Duhawks (12-4) defeated the Scarlet Hawks (2-12), 3-0. Loras won the sets 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.

Baseball Weekend Schedule Revised

Baseball's weekend schedule at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has had some changes. Instead of the originally scheduled three contests, the Scarlet Hawks will now play four times in Terre Haute, Indiana.

#5 Benedictine Defeats Men’s Volleyball

The Illinois Tech men's volleyball team took a short drive down interstates 290 and 88 on Wednesday evening to oppose the fifth-ranked Eagles of Benedictine University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match. BenU (14-2, 7-1 NACC) proved to be a tough test, downing Illinois Tech (2-11, 1-7 NACC) in straight sets.
