Turing Award Winner and Illinois Tech Alum Jack Dongarra to Give Lecture
April 6, 2023Join us Wednesday, April 12, at Hermann Hall for a celebration and presentation by Professor Emeritus at the University of Tennessee and an Illinois Tech alum Jack Dongarra, who won the most prestigious award in computing, the 2021 ACM A.M. Turing Award. Jack’s pioneering contributions to numerical algorithms and libraries that enabled high performance computational (HPC) software to keep pace with exponential hardware improvements for over four decades has, through the years, accelerated HPC.
