IIT Team Among Winners of 48-Hour Student Cluster Competition
December 10, 2014An IIT team won part of the SC14 Student Cluster Competition, a real-time, non-stop, 48-hour challenge in which they ran high-performance applications/benchmarks on a cluster computer built with sponsors including Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Intel, NVIDIA, and Mellanox. The competition was held during the IEEE/ACM Supercomputing/SC Conference in New Orleans in November. -
Santos Appointed Chair of Computer Science
December 9, 2014Russell Betts, dean of the College of Science, announced the appointment of Eunice Santos, Ph.D., as chair and professor of the Department of Computer Science. She will formally take up the appointment January 1, 2015.
