Earth Day Celebration
April 16, 2013UFARM IIT (also known as IPRO 314) is hosting an Earth Day Celebration at the Community Garden on IIT MainCampus. Come learn more about the garden, how to be a part of it, how to grow your own food, and more! The event will be held on Saturday, April 20 from 1:00–4:00 pm in the Community Garden, which is located in the Greek quad. -
Rice Campus Sustainability Project IPRO
April 4, 2013Illinois Institute of Technology’s green initiatives have expanded beyond the Main Campus. Located in Wheaton, Illinois, the Rice Campus has taken on a new challenge to implement green practices. Susan Camasta and Blake Davis are leading IPRO 497-323: The Rice Campus Sustainability Project. The members of the student team are underway to “greenifying” the building. -
The State-Journal Register reported on the work of “IPRO 335: Developing Technology to Transform Education throughout Haiti,” which sent a team of students to implement their solar power solution at the EFACAP school in Lascahobas this summer. The article, published September 4, talks with IIT psychology/sociology major and member of the IPRO team Simon Brauer. The group is currently raising funds to provide more solar installations on another trip in December.
