    The Honorable John Paul Stevens, retired justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will address an invitation-only audience at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law on October 3 at 1:30 p.m. in the Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium, 565 West Adams (between Clinton and Jefferson streets) in Chicago.

    Alumnus Robert Borlick to Present WISER Seminar on Electricity Markets

    The lecture "Demand Response in Wholesale Power Markets" will be held on Friday, September 21 at 1:00 pm in IIT Tower, 16th floor. The joint lecture is co-hosted by WISER, the Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation, IIT Armour College of Engineering, and IIT Stuart School of Business and will feature energy consultant Robert L. Borlick (EE ′59). The lecture is also provided as part of IIT Homecoming activities.

  • Andrew Koppelman is IIT Chicago-Kent’s 2012 Constitution Day Speaker

    Andrew Koppelman, the John Paul Stevens Professor of Law and professor of political science at Northwestern University, will deliver the 2012 Constitution Day lecture at IIT Chicago-Kent at 5:00 pm on September 24. Koppelman will address the topic "The Tough Luck Constitution and the Fight over Health Care Reform." The lecture will be held in the law school’s Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Courtroom, 565 West Adams Street (between Clinton and Jefferson streets) in Chicago. The program is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested.

    Join the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for the 2012 Ralph Peck Lecture, "Protein Analogous Micelles: Versatile, Modular Nanoparticles," presented by Matthew Tirrell of University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, at 4 pm on Friday, April 20 in Perlstein Hall. The 2012 Ralph Peck Lecture event also includes a student poster competition at 2 pm and presentation of the Charles W. Pierce Distinguished Alumni Award to T. S. Ramakrishnan, followed by a reception.

    Adjunct Professor Andrew Metter to Discuss Urban Farms at AIA Chicago

    Architecture Adjunct Professor Andrew Metter will lecture on "Urban Farm and Food Pantry Prototype for the 21st Century" at AIA Chicago at 6 pm on Thursday, April 5. Metter will discuss his model for a more sustainable method for food production and distribution to Chicago's hungry families, based on both his personal research and IIT studio investigations. Metter's lecture is part of AIA Chicago's "A Year to Grow" series, exploring the role of architects in urban agriculture and food systems.
