    MSA Presents “Love and Sacrifice: The story of Abraham”

    The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at IIT is delighted to host a lecture by renowned speaker Yasmin Mogahed. This Student Activities Fund-sponsored lecture is open to all. The topic revolves around the lessons from the incident when Prophet Abrahim (peace be upon him) was willing to sacrifice his beloved son Ishmael for the sake of God.

    MSA Quran Study Class

    The Quran Study class hosted by the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at IIT will continue on Wednesday, October 31 from 12:50–1:20 pm in Perlstein Hall, room 109. The class is open to all. Free copies of the Quran translation is available to anyone attending the class.

    Eid Ul Adha Prayer and Breakfast

    The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at IIT will be hosting the Eid Ul Adha prayer on Friday, October 26 at the prayer area on the third floor of Farr Hall. The prayer time is 8:30 am sharp. Afterward, there will be an SAF-sponsored Eid morning breakfast at Farr. All IIT students, staff, and faculty who are celebrating the Eid holiday are welcome to attend the Eid prayer and breakfast.

    In the first week of March, more than 11 states were hit hard by an early round of spring tornadoes. The storms came earlier than usual this spring and in the middle of the night, leaving many families unprepared for the devastation. Thousands of people were affected, hundreds of homes wiped away and 40 people lost their lives.
