Public Safety Forum (Updated)
September 11, 2012IIT Department of Public Safety will be on the MTCC bridge from 11 am - 3 pm on Tuesday, September 18 to talk with students and staff about safety and security on campus, especially bicycle security. Public Safety will provide demonstrations on the correct methods and devices used to secure bicycles and raffle off five U-Lock bicycle lock devices. -
Bruce Watts Named Vice President of Facilities and Public Safety
August 15, 2012Bruce Watts has been named by Illinois Institute of Technology President John Anderson as vice president of facilities and public safety for the university. Watts will be responsible for management of the buildings and grounds as well as oversight of public safety efforts and management of security personnel at IIT's five campuses. -
Public Safety Alert: Recent Robberies of Student Phones/iPads
February 22, 2012During the past week, three robberies involving IIT students and their iPhones and iPads have occurred on Main Campus. In two of these cases, the offenders approached the students under the guise of borrowing the student's mobile phone/iPad. The victims gave their devices to the offenders, who then ran away with them. -
