    SoReMo Fellow Applications Open Until January 19

    Students interested in joining the SoReMo initiative as a paid fellow or associate fellow should complete an application form by 8 a.m. January 19. SoReMo fellows are open to all Illinois Tech students interested in a semester-long research project in the areas of social justice issues, equity, and social responsibility. Fellows will gain communications training, interdisciplinary experience, and contacts across campus and the community.

    Find Online Help for SoReMo Proposals

    The Spring 2024 SoReMo application for research fellows opens soon in January 2024. Prospective applicants can begin to draft their proposals and make use of the online office hours scheduled by a past SoReMo fellow to draft a successful proposal (this does not directly guarantee the fellowship).     Applications are now open for Fall 2023 fellows of the Socially Responsible Modeling, Computation, and Design (SoReMo) Initiative. The application deadline is Tuesday August, 22, 2023. SoReMo offers semester-long research fellowships to all Illinois Tech students that provide unique interdisciplinary research opportunities for students who want to apply computational, modeling, and design skills to solve a social issue.

    Announcing Pilot Program for Providing Free Menstrual Sanitary Products in Select Restrooms

    The Dean of Students Office and Student Health and Wellness would like to announce a pilot program for providing free menstrual sanitary products (MSPs) to students, staff, and faculty as needed. Free sanitary napkins and tampons are now available in seven restrooms around Mies Campus and in both women’s restrooms on Rice Campus.
