CEA Reaccredits English Language Services for 10 Years
August 22, 2023Lewis College of Science and Letter’s English Language Services (ELS) has been granted reaccreditation by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) for the period of August 2023 through August 2033. ELS has been granted a ten-year reaccreditation without any reporting requirements, which is the maximum reaccreditation a program can receive. -
IFSH Associate Director Jason Wan, Ph.D., Named Recipient of the 2023 Darsh Wasan Food Safety Award
August 8, 2023The Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) at Illinois Tech is proud to announce Dr. Jason Wan as the recipient of this year’s 2023 Darsh Wasan Food Safety Award. This annual award is presented to recognize the achievements of an individual or group in the field of food science and technology who have made outstanding contributions in food safety and health across government, academia, and industry. -
Dr. Sandhu was awarded 2023 Mary Swartz Rose Young Investigator Award
August 1, 2023Dr. Aman Sandhu was awarded 2023 Mary Swartz Rose Young Investigator Award at the American Society for Nutrition meeting held in Boston from July 22–25. This award is given to an investigator within 10 years of postgraduate training, for outstanding research on the safety and efficacy of bioactive compounds for human health. The award is supported by the Council for Responsible Nutrition. -

July 25, 2023The Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) at Illinois Institute of Technology’s Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) was awarded the 2023 Food Safety Award from the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) at the 2023 IAFP Annual Meeting on July 19 in Toronto, Canada. -

Expect Road Closures in Loop Due to NASCAR Race
June 6, 2023Members of the Illinois Tech who commute through the Loop may experience delays this month, as the city prepares for a two-day NASCAR racing and music festival Saturday and Sunday, July 1 and 2, on a 2.2-mile circuit around Grant Park. The race will be bounded by Roosevelt, Michigan, Jackson, and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, and some other roads will be closed in the area.
