    Access Illinois Tech Update – Improvements Coming November 14

    This weekend the Office of Technology Services (OTS) will be deploying the next phase of Access Illinois Tech. On November 14, 2022, these are the primary changes you will see include: Access Illinois Tech will be your new “go-to” dashboard for most university applications and resources, All of the applications that are currently in your myIIT Portal 9-box grid (in the top-right corner of the myIIT portal) will move to the Access Illinois Tech dashboard, and your university password will be managed through Access Illinois Tech.

    Grainger Computing Innovation Prize Finals and Reception Tomorrow

    On Wednesday, November 9, the College of Computing will showcase the best of Illinois Tech in the finals of the second annual Grainger Computing Innovation Prize. The finalist teams of undergraduate and graduate students will present their projects to a jury of Chicago’s tech leaders. Come support the finalists and share in the excitement as we crown our Grainger Computing Innovation Prize champion!

    Congratulations to our Student Laureate Recipient, Ahmad Muhammad!

    Each fall an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois is awarded the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award and thereby becomes a Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, would like to congratulate Ahmad Muhammad on his selection as the Illinois Lincoln Academy Student Laureate recipient for Illinois Tech.     Veterans Day Coat Drive

    Did you know that more than 700 veterans are homeless and live in poverty in Illinois? Drop-off your gently used or new men’s coats in the Office of Community Affairs’ conference room on the ninth floor of Michael Paul Galvin Tower, Room 9D-41, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m on Monday through Thursday through November 10, 2022.

    Illinois Tech Appoints Alumna Ellen Jordan as First Woman University Regent

    Illinois Institute of Technology has announced Ellen Jordan (PSYC ’79, M.B.A. ’81) as its eighth University Regent in recognition of her decades of service and leadership to the university. Jordan is an alumna, trustee, founder, and president of America’s Food Technologies, Inc., CEO of Global Grounds, LLC, and the first woman to hold this prestigious role at Illinois Tech.
