    Five students from the Industrial Technology and Management (INTM) Program took first place in the 2012 Chicago Case Competition hosted by The Association for Operations Management (APICS) in October. This was the fourth annual competition and the fourth time that the IIT team has won.

  • Google+ Important Requirement: Sign Up Using Accurate Birthdate

    As part of your Google Apps for Education at IIT account, you have access to create a Google+ social media page for interacting with other Google+ users on topics of common interest. To create your page, login into Google Apps for Students or Faculty/Staff in myIIT. Once in the Google environment, click the name+ link upper left on the page to get started.

  • Switch Your Google Docs Interface to Google Drive (Updated)

    As part of your Google Apps for Education at IIT, you have access to a Documents list where you can upload documents, create Google docs, forms, spreadsheets and more. Google is changing the interface for Documents to Google Drive this month. If you have already opted-in to use Google Drive, you will not see any change. If you do nothing, when your account is switched to the Google Drive user interface, it will replace your existing Documents List, without losing any of our existing files.

  • IIT Trustee and Harris myCFO President Joe Calabrese to Present “Investing in Illusions”

    On Thursday, November 15, at 4 pm, IIT Trustee and President of Harris myCFO Joe Calabrese will present “Investing in Illusions” at IIT’s downtown campus. Most financial and economic models assume that humans are rational, decision-making units always seeking to maximize the “utility” of their decisions. In real life we know that nothing could be further from the truth.

  • IIT Chicago-Kent Professor David J. Gerber elected vice president of the American Society of Comparative Law

    Professor David J. Gerber, IIT Chicago-Kent distinguished professor and co-director of the program in international and comparative law, was elected vice president of the American Society of Comparative Law (ASCL) at the organization's annual meeting October 4–7 at the University of Iowa Law School in Iowa City.

  • IIT Chicago-Kent Order of the Coif Chapter Inducts 29 New Members

    The IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law chapter of the Order of the Coif inducted 29 new members October 30 during award ceremonies in the Walnut Room of the Hotel Allegro in Chicago. The Order of the Coif is a national legal honor society that recognizes superior scholarship and promotes the ethical standards of the legal profession.
