    Access, Card, and Parking Services (ACaPS) has relocated its customer services to Hermann Hall 102, right next to Einstein Bros Bagels. The ACaPS team will welcome more than 300 new students from Stuart School of Business on Thursday morning, August 9 as well as as the final and largest orientation on Monday, August 13 and Tuesday, August 14 so plan your visit to ACaPS accordingly.

  • Wiel Arets Named Dean of IIT College of Architecture

    Illinois Institute of Technology Provost Alan Cramb announced today the appointment of Wiel Arets as the new dean of the IIT College of Architecture. Born in the Netherlands, Arets, an internationally acclaimed architect, educator, industrial designer, theorist, and urbanist, is known for his academic progressive research and hybrid design solutions. He is currently the professor of building planning and design at the Berlin University of the Arts.

  • IIT Professor and Student in the Pacific Island Region for PISCES Project

    Laura Hosman, assistant professor of political science, and Simon Brauer, a student in the Department of Social Sciences, are deploying the ENPRO-developed solar computer lab-in-a-box in the Pacific island region as members of the Pacific Islands Schools, Connectivity, Education, and Solar (PISCES) Project. The PISCES Project team will be on Guam and Chuuk until August 11.

    The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) has awarded the Illinois Institute of Technology Chapter an Honorable Mention in the 2011-2012 Chapter Honor Awards. Awards were formally announced on July 22 at the AIAS National Grassroots Leadership Conference in Alexandria, Virginia, and will be conferred at the AIAS FORUM to be held in Savannah, Georgia, from December 29–January 1.
