    Illinois Governor Pat Quinn came to IIT's Main Campus on Wednesday, August 1 to sign House Bill 3782, which makes it illegal for employers to request an employee or potential employee's social media account information, a recent trend among some employers.

  • IIT Professor and Student in the Pacific Island Region for PISCES Project

    Laura Hosman, assistant professor of political science, and Simon Brauer, a student in the Department of Social Sciences, are deploying the ENPRO-developed solar computer lab-in-a-box in the Pacific island region as members of the Pacific Islands Schools, Connectivity, Education, and Solar (PISCES) Project. The PISCES Project team will be on Guam and Chuuk until August 11.

  • iitAIAS Receives Honorable Mention From National AIAS

    The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) has awarded the Illinois Institute of Technology Chapter an Honorable Mention in the 2011-2012 Chapter Honor Awards. Awards were formally announced on July 22 at the AIAS National Grassroots Leadership Conference in Alexandria, Virginia, and will be conferred at the AIAS FORUM to be held in Savannah, Georgia, from December 29–January 1.

  • IIT Picnic a Hit, Especially with Raffle Winners

    Several hundred IIT/IITRI faculty, staff, and family members spent a summer afternoon outdoors at Morton Park on Main Campus for the annual university picnic, held on July 26. All in attendance had a chance to relax and enjoy a lunch that featured a variety of hot sandwiches, salads, and desserts, including cupcakes.

    Effective August 1, 2012 the Center for Disability Resources will relocate from its current location in Life Sciences to 3424 S. State Street (room 1C3-2). Directional signs will be posted throughout the building. Accessible entrance is located on the east side of the building. All email addresses and telephone numbers will remain unchanged.
