  • Call for IIT Faculty and Staff to Attend IPRO Day as Judges or Guests

    An academic highlight on IIT Main Campus each summer is IPRO Day. This year, it will take place on Friday, July 26 from 10:00 am–1:00 pm in Hermann Hall. IIT faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event and show their support to the summer IPRO teams. The event is the culmination of IPRO teamwork via exhibits and presentations. This semester, 12 IPRO teams are participating.

    IIT Boeing Scholars Academy Welcomes Donations for the Night Ministry

    The IIT Boeing Scholars Academy is running a donation drive to benefit the Night Ministry, a Chicago-based organization that offers housing, health care and human connection to Chicagoans struggling with poverty or homelessness. The Boeing Scholars are collecting items that they will use to create hygiene kits to help provide small comforts to clients of the Night Ministry.

You will help us aid IIT students dress for success in preparation for the fall semester Career Fair. Dress shirts, ties, blazers, suits and shoes that are still in good condition would be greatly appreciated.

    Mandatory Employment Verification for Verizon Wireless Discount Program

    Many staff and faculty participate in a Verizon Wireless discount program that is available to IIT employees. Verizon has recently undertaken a nationwide effort for such customers to verify their employment to continue to receive the discounts. This is intended to be a one-time audit to verify employment of people who have corporate discounts on their personal devices and receive their own bills. Individuals who do not complete employment validation will lose their employee discount.

  • Independence Day Holiday Schedule Clarification

    Independence Day Holiday Schedule Clarification

    IIT will observe Independence Day on Thursday, July 4 as a university holiday. Due to the academic schedule, the university will be open for classes on Friday, July 5. Those staff who are not engaged in supporting classes on July 5 may, at their supervisors discretion, take the day off as a bonus day. Any staff in essential functions to support students or classes on July 5 will report to work, if instructed by their supervisor, but will be given the opportunity to take another day off during July as a bonus day. All union employees will be paid according to the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. Classes on July 5 will still meet as scheduled. Offices and/or staff who support the academic needs for the July 5 classes are expected to operate as usual.
