    Daniel Martin from the Chicago Chapter of APICS, The Association for Operations Management, will be a guest speaker at the upcoming APICS-IIT Student Chapter meeting on Tuesday, April 9. Martin will present “Working It: The Rules Have Changed,” focusing on the fact that today’s employees want more from their employers. Learn about the traits of today’s best companies, and how they do more to recruit and retain talent. The presentation will take place from 4:30–5:30 pm in Room 4000 of Tech Park South Building.     They’re hot off the press! A limited number of copies of the winter 2013 edition of IIT Magazine are available in various Main Campus locations. This issue features photos of Chicago—“Their Kind of Town”—taken by IIT students and articles on citizen-architect Katherine Darnstadt (ARCH ’05), Senator Kwame Raoul (LAW ’93) and record-holding distance-swimmer Ted Erikson (CHE ’52, M.S.     “$tart $mart” Salary Negotiation Workshop

    Don’t miss "$tart $mart," a free and interactive workshop sponsored by the Office of Campus Life designed to give college women the skills and confidence they need to earn fair compensation and help close the gender wage gap! "$tart $mart" gives participants benchmarks for salary and benefits, offers salary negotiating skill-building exercises and teaches participants how to develop a personal budget to determine salary needs. The workshop will be on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:00–8:00 pm in Perlstein Hall 109.
