RISE is a summer internship program for undergraduate students in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and engineering. RISE offers unique opportunities for bachelor-level students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of two–three months during the summer.

    Michael J. Broyde, professor of law and a senior fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University, will deliver the keynote address on the first day of "Shari'a and Halakha in America," a free two-day conference co-hosted by IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

    “$tart $mart” Salary Negotiation Workshop

    Don’t miss "$tart $mart," a free and interactive workshop sponsored by the Office of Campus Life designed to give college women the skills and confidence they need to earn fair compensation and help close the gender wage gap! "$tart $mart" gives participants benchmarks for salary and benefits, offers salary negotiating skill-building exercises and teaches participants how to develop a personal budget to determine salary needs. The workshop will be on Wednesday, April 24, from 5:00–8:00 pm in Perlstein Hall 109.

    2013 CSL Undergraduate Summer Research Stipend Program Nomination Deadline Approaching

    IIT College of Science and Letters Associate Dean Matt Bauer announced that the college is accepting nominations for $5,000 CSL Undergraduate Summer Research Stipends for summer 2013. Up to eight stipends will be awarded. All CSL majors are eligible, and all IIT faculty may nominate a student. Nominations are due by Monday, April 15.
