    Grow, Harvest, and Give Back in Bronzeville

    Join New Community Outreach's Garden to Table Program and help increase access to fresh, healthy food in the Bronzeville community. Entering its seventh season, the program creates a restorative community space through gardening, food distribution, and neighbor-to-neighbor connection at Jackie Robinson Elementary School. Volunteer opportunities take place on Saturdays from June through October, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

    Health Waiver to Opt Out of Student Health Insurance Plan Available Through August 25, 2026

    The 2026–2027 Student Health Waiver opens on June 6, 2026. Fall incoming students who do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance with a start date of August 1, have until Tuesday, August 25, 2026, to opt out using the online waiver.

    Update to Illinois Tech’s Recreational Bike and Mobility Device Policy

    Effective immediately, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and similar mobility devices are not permitted to be ridden indoors anywhere on campus. If these devices are brought indoors, they must be walked or carried at all times and may only be stored in designated bike storage areas.
