Learn How to Make the Most of Your Blue Cross Blue Shield Benefits – January 30 and 31
January 16, 2024Join Viktoria Rill, Illinois Tech's Sr. Director of Total Rewards & People Development, later this month to learn all about how you can maximize your benefits through our Blue Cross Blue Shield medical plan. She'll briefly cover plan basics before jumping into rewards programs, programs that come with free tools to help you manage chronic conditions, our free digital exercise therapy program for members with muscle and joint pain, and more. She'll also talk about benefits that will help you save money on prescriptions, and the many advantages of Health Savings Accounts. -
Staff Check Your Paychecks
January 16, 2024January 12, 2024, was the first biweekly paycheck date of the new year. Staff members should review paystubs to ensure accuracy of any benefit changes made during open enrollment, new FSA elections, and 403(b) election changes. Any discrepancies must be reported along with a screenshot verifying successful completion of Open Enrollment no later than Monday, January 22, 2024. -

Benefit Reminders for 2023
December 13, 2022Everyone on the BCBS medical plan will receive a new ID card for 2023 due to the change to the tiered network approach (the new Blue Choice Options PPO and HDHP). Everyone new to the medical plan will also receive a CVS Caremark ID, which is needed to obtain prescriptions. Existing members should retain their current ID cards. -

University Mask Mandate Lifted
April 5, 2022In keeping with recent health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Tech will no longer require face coverings indoors or outdoors as of April 5. Of course, campus community members are welcome and encouraged to continue wearing face coverings if they prefer to do so. -

1095 Healthcare reporting forms for 2021
March 17, 2022As in past years, due to requirements under the Affordable Care Act you may have received a form recently regarding the health coverage you had or were offered in 2021. The most common forms are the 1095 series forms. These forms include information about coverage offered to you and any covered dependents, and must be sent to eligible individuals regardless as to whether coverage was elected or waived. -
