IIT Students Honored by Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago for 2013 EPA Campus RainWorks Challenge Win

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago issued a resolution on May 16 at its board meeting in recognition of the IIT student entry in the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Campus RainWorks Design Challenge. Students from IIT College of Architecture and the Landscape Architecture Program, IIT Armour College of Engineering and IIT Stuart School of Business, led by Studio Assistant Professor Mary Pat Mattson and Paul Anderson, were recognized for their first-place design of green infrastructure to manage stormwater on the campus of IIT.

MMF and MSF Students Win Third Place in Trading Competition

May 10, 2013
A team of Master of Mathematical Finance and Master of Science in Finance students won third place at the University of Chicago Midwest Trading Competition, held April 12 - 13 at the Chicago Booth Gleacher Center. IIT Team members Xi Liu (MMF candidate, team captain), Rui Tu (MMF candidate), He Wang (MSF candidate), Yuchen Zhang (MSF candidate) received a $1,000 prize. The competition was sponsored by OptionsCity Software and CME Group at the University of Chicago.
