Health Waiver to Opt Out of Student Health Insurance Plan Available Through September 1
June 6, 2024Illinois Tech is committed to the health and welfare of students and requires all students who register for one academic credit hour or more to have health insurance. The Student Health Waiver opened on June 6, 2024. Students who do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance have until Sunday, September 1, 2024, to opt out via an online waiver. -
Waiver to Opt Out of Student Health Insurance Plan Must Be Turned In by January 12
November 28, 2023Illinois Tech is committed to the health and welfare of students and requires all students who register for one academic credit hour or more to have health insurance. If you do not wish to be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and have comparable health insurance, please complete the electronic waiver online by January 12, 2024. -
Students Who Don’t Want to Be Enrolled in Student Health Insurance Plan, Complete Health Waiver by September 1
June 13, 2023All students, including faculty and staff, registered for one credit hour of class is automatically added to the Student Health Insurance Plan and the fee will be added to your Student Account. If you do not wish to be enrolled and have comparable health insurance, please complete the electronic waiver online by September 1. -
Dental and Vision Enrollment Open until January 1
December 6, 2022Students who register for one academic credit hour or more are able to purchase Dental/Vision Insurance Plans separately from the health insurance. The deadline is Sunday, January 1, 2023. -

March 31, 2022April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Illinois Tech is encouraging the university community to wear teal ribbons during the month to promote awareness. In addition to showing your support by wearing teal, please come to the many events we have scheduled for the month. -
