Actuarial Science Club Welcome Tea and New Courses

September 11, 2012
The Actuarial Science Club will hold a welcome tea on Friday, September 14 in E1-102 from 1:30–2:30 pm. Additionally, Lulu Kang, assistant professor of applied mathematics, has developed two new courses to benefit students pursuing careers as actuaries: MATH 484 “Regression and Forecasting” and MATH 564 “Applied Statistics.” Check out the club's Facebook page to find out about recent activities. IIT Open Access Student Advocacy Group Meeting

The Internet and other emerging technologies have made possible a cheaper and more efficient model where anyone can access high quality scholarly literature. Come to the first meeting of IIT’s Open Access Student Advocacy Group to learn more and to help show that IIT supports an open access publishing system. The event will be held in the Paul V.
