    ATM to Be Removed from McCormick Tribune Campus Center before Start of Spring Semester

    The university has decided to remove the ATM from the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC). The ATM is scheduled to be removed prior to the start of the spring semester, which is January 9, 2023. The ATM at the MTCC 7-Eleven will remain.

    Announcing the 2022 Grainger Computing Innovation Prize Winners

    The second annual Grainger Computing Innovation Prize was awarded to a team of Illinois Tech student innovators for their invention of a cross-compatible, simple-to-use stablecoin payment solution to solve the financial access gap for millions of Mexico’s unbanked. The winning team, named StarPay, was announced as the $15,000 first prize winner in a finals event judged live by a panel of Chicago’s technology experts.

    As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it is time to pause and reflect on the many gifts that we have been afforded. Although our university’s contemporary history began in 1940 with the merger of Armour Institute and Lewis Institute, Illinois Tech has recently embarked on a journey of reflecting further on our shared past. Illinois Tech invites you to join us in this journey of exploring our collective past to learn from it and better inform our futures. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has developed our university's Land Acknowledgement statement to honor the contributions of Indigenous peoples past and present.

    The Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering presents a photo unveiling of a new inductee to the MMAE Hall of Fame, Lois Graham (M.S. ME ’49, Ph.D. ME ’59) on November 18 from 2:00 p.m. in the Rettaliata, Second Floor Atrium. The event is preceded by the Nagib and Kalpakjian Annual Lecture on Turbulence and will be followed by a reception.
