Mies Campus Building Access Limited During Winter Break
December 13, 2022Mies Campus buildings will be closed Saturday, December 24, through Monday, January 2, 2023, for winter break. To facilitate university business, faculty and staff will continue to have their standard HawkCard ID access during this time. Students can be granted access during winter break as needed. -
Illinois Tech Team Wins 2022 Keysight Innovation Challenge for Carbon Sequestration
December 8, 2022The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering would like to congratulate our ECE students Chloe Rubinowicz (EE, M.S. EE 5th Year), Saurabh Saluja (CPE, M.S. CPE 5th Year), Colin Prochnow (CCSE, M.S. CPE 5th Year), and Anthony Banuelos (CCSE, M.A.S. CYF 5th Year), along with their team members Kaya Jones (CS 2nd Year) and Katarzyna Staron (ME, M.S. ME 5th Year), who took first place at the Keysight Innovation Challenge. -

December 6, 2022Last Friday was Innovation Day at the Kaplan Institute, where we showcased over 80 student team projects spanning across all of Illinois Tech's colleges and institutes. Each project fell under one of four tracks: Entrepreneurship, Health & Community, Tech Competitions, or Industry & Technology. -

ATM to Be Removed from McCormick Tribune Campus Center before Start of Spring Semester
December 1, 2022The university has decided to remove the ATM from the McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC). The ATM is scheduled to be removed prior to the start of the spring semester, which is January 9, 2023. The ATM at the MTCC 7-Eleven will remain. -

Announcing the 2022 Grainger Computing Innovation Prize Winners
November 29, 2022The second annual Grainger Computing Innovation Prize was awarded to a team of Illinois Tech student innovators for their invention of a cross-compatible, simple-to-use stablecoin payment solution to solve the financial access gap for millions of Mexico’s unbanked. The winning team, named StarPay, was announced as the $15,000 first prize winner in a finals event judged live by a panel of Chicago’s technology experts. -
