    Rebecca Wingate (M.S. CE ’12) Awarded Fulbright Fellowship

    The International Center is pleased to announce IIT's second Fulbright recipient in its history. Rebecca Wingate, a recent alumna who received her master's degree from IIT College of Engineering Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering last December, will be going to Hepia in Switzerland in September for her project titled "Lean Construction and Railway Infrastructure Maintenance."

  • Valerie Raedy is IIT Chicago-Kent’s 2013 “Top Gun”

    IIT Chicago-Kent Honors Scholar Valerie R. Raedy will represent the law school in the 2013 National Top Gun Mock Trial Competition held June 6 to 9 at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Raedy is one of only 16 law students nationwide to compete in this unique tournament.

    IIT Chicago-Kent hosts symposium on “Justice, Lawyering and Legal Education in the Digital Age”

    "Justice, Lawyering and Legal Education in the Digital Age" is the theme of a symposium hosted by IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law's Center for Access to Justice and Technology and the Chicago-Kent Law Review on June 15 from 9 am - 1 pm. The half-day program will be held at the law school, 565 West Adams Street (between Clinton and Jefferson streets), in conjunction with the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI®)'s 2013 Conference for Law School Computing.

  • Logitech Acquires Kickstarter-funded TT Design Labs, a Startup Founded by IIT Institute of Design Alumni

    Less than two years ago Derek Tarnow and Zahra Tashakorinia began developing their first product, TidyTilt, as part of a class project at IIT Institute of Design in Chicago. In June 2013, Logitech acquired Tarnow and Tashakorinia's TT Design Labs and the products they have developed since the initial launch.

    Senator Durbin Visits IIT to Talk Immigration Reform

    Illinois Senator Dick Durbin visited IIT on June 3 to speak about immigration reform legislation moving through the Senate that would provide an easier path to citizenship for students who complete graduate level degrees in STEM fields. IIT Vice President David Baker and PhD candidate Mehdi Ganji joined the senator along with Chicago Council on Global Affairs Vice President Rachel Bronson and Mark Segal from the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
