    IIT will hold the first ever IIT Build-It Competition: An Impromptu Design Competition, from 8:30 am - 3 pm on Saturday, April 6. Build-It is an applied science competition where teams of high school students compete against each other to design and build the best solution to an engineering problem using the materials provided.

    On Wednesday, March 13, IIT College of Architecture will celebrate Mies van der Rohe's 127th birthday, his influence on Chicago, and the investiture of Wiel Arets as the Rowe Family College of Architecture Dean Endowed Chair. Seventy-five years ago, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe arrived in the United States to lead the College of Architecture and profoundly influence the world’s taste and built environment. Now the college begins another era of influence as it celebrates the investiture of Wiel Arets.

  • Boris Glavic Receives IIT ERIF Grant for Interdisciplinary Research with Psychology

    Boris Glavic, assistant professor of computer science, and Eric Houston, assistant professor of psychology, have been awarded a one-year IIT Educational and Research Initiative Fund (ERIF) grant for $25,000 for an interdisciplinary approach for assessing treatment motivation among patients undergoing antiretroviral therapy, integrating multidimensional scaling with data provenance techniques."

    Changes to myIIT Time Sheet and Banner Finance Channels

    On Friday, March 8, 2013, several myIIT channels will be updated. The current Time Reporting channel in myIIT will be replaced with two channels, Time Reporting and Time Approval. The layout of the channels will be different, but the time sheet format will remain the same and there will be no impact on hours already entered into time sheets.
