  • Department of Social Sciences High School Outreach Day

    On November 27, 150 Advanced Placement students from suburban high schools visited campus as part of a high school outreach program designed by the Department of Social Sciences in collaboration with the European Union Center at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign. Students took tours of IIT and attended three separate events on campus.

    Office of Technology Services has enabled Input Tools for Google Apps that let you write in other languages using phonetic typing and virtual keyboards. Input Tools makes it easy to type in other languages such as Hindi or Chinese.

    IIT Robotics Lab Develops Crash-Resistant Hybrid Terrestrial/Aerial Robot (Video)

    The HyTAQ Robot (Hybrid Terrestrial and Aerial Quadrotor) was developed in the IIT Robotics Lab by Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Matthew Spenko and PhD candidate Arash Kalantari. The novel mobile robot is capable of both aerial and terrestrial locomotion.

    In honor of Women's History Month (March 2013), IIT Dining Services wants to help pay tribute to all the wonderful women in your life who have cooked for you over the years. Submit recipes from your mother (or from your grandmother, sister, or another special woman in your life) with a story as to why each recipe is special to you. Every Friday during lunch in March 2013 we will feature some of these as part of “My Mother’s Recipes” at the Hawk Classics Station in The Commons.
